Liv Giertz

Background

Liv has lived, studied and worked abroad for seven years, which has given her multicultural insights when meeting people from different countries. She has been a qualified Stockholm tourist guide for more than 40 years and is one of the few guides who has worked all the year round and been involved in training programmes for new guides.

She has had extensive interpreting assignments and been responsible for special-interest group tours (focusing on history and theology) both inside and outside Sweden (for example in Arctic Scandinavia, Germany, Italy, etc.)

Liv speaks eight European languages.

Special interests

Her main interests include history, church history, ecumenism and parish welfare work, and she is particularly fond of the histories of Stockholm, Uppsala, Sigtuna  and Gripsholm/Mariefred.

Assignments

The Royal Family, IBM, Coca-Cola, Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Smithsonian, Government delegations, the Catholic Church, the Church of Sweden, visits to institutions of technology, etc.
